As I’m putting the finishing touches on our first Featured Article here at the iwd notebook, something goes violently wrong. I have no idea what happened, but as I’m fixing up some links, closing some tags, etc. in the WordPress admin panel, everything since my last save disappeared. All gone.

Tonight I was having problems saving the Featured Article, I would get an error whenever I tried to do so. I was just chugging along, leaving my browser window open without saving. Then, out of nowhere, I don’t understand but all of the content I had added to the article since my last save (and there was a lot of it) was gone.

The article was a review of the major Canadian Political Party websites, and I had been working on it for over a week. I still have my notes reviewing the sites saved, but they are only rough and aren’t ready to be coded.

There will be no Featured Article this week, I apologize (if it was my fault). My host has been looking into the error I have been getting so it is possible that a server hiccup caused me to lose this information, or it is entirely possible I somehow deleted it myself.

ALWAYS backup/copy & paste/take a picture do anything to valuable information. It can be gone in an instant.

I may post my rough notes here in a couple days, just so I don’t feel like all my work was for nothing.
