Reasons NOT To Work With Us
You have probably by now seen our “Five Reasons Why You Should Work Us” page noting a few things we’ll strive to achieve for you. While we believe this is a good way to get to know us a little better, there are other things you should know before we go to work. There are a few reasons why you shouldn’t work with us. If any of the following questions/statements make sense to you, I’m afraid you should move on to a different web design company because things won’t work out here.
- My Account Executive reported to me that the Lead Designer was a little late getting started on my project because the Information Architect was out of town with the Content Developer. We’re small. There’s two of us and we do pretty much everything. It’s this relaxed atmosphere that our small business clients appreciate. It makes them feel like they are getting the attention they deserve. If you want to be a part of endless meetings and monotony, please go elsewhere.
- I just want my site done, I don’t care about any of this “accessibility” or “web standards”. While you may not care about these things, many of your site’s visitors will. It is important to pay a little more attention to detail up front and get things done properly. You want your website to be a long-term investment, not a short-term one.
- I just purchased a website template, could you make a few changes for me? The answer is no. We only work with custom designs and do not like working on templates. It just isn’t our thing. We feel that only a design custom-tailored to one’s business is worth doing. Your online presence needs to convey exactly what needs to get across, nothing more and nothing less. A template cannot do this for you.
- I need this site done in a week for $500 and then it has to appear #1 on Google the following week, no problem right? You have to understand that developing a website is much like working on a relationship. Things take time and compromise, but ultimately the end result is more than worth it. Are you willing to put the time in to work on this thing, honey?
Hopefully after reading this you have gained a better understanding of what we stand for here. If you have any questions or comments about what I have written, don’t hesitate to contact me.
