Directgov
The British Government recently launched a one-stop website for all things civil. The site, Directgov.gov.uk, gives Britons the option of doing anything from reporting a broken street light to paying taxes online, with much in between.
It is great to see that the site has been designed with extensive accessibility and standards-based coding practices in mind. The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) has surely done very well for British governmental websites.
The site is a perfect example of form and function working flawlessly together. Check it out if you get a chance, Directgov.gov.uk, hopefully some important Canadian decision-makers take note!
